Design data is presented for welded sections made of heavy plates in a tabular format to assist engineers who are designing buildings and civil engineering works in accordance with EN 1993-1-1:2005 ^[1] and EN 1993-1-5:2006 ^[2] and their respective National Annexes.

The symbols used are generally the same as those used in these Standards or the referred product Standards.

1.1 Material and tolerances

Steel heavy plates are supplied in accordance with EN 10025-3:2019 ^[3] and EN 10025-4:2019 ^[4] (CE Marking and Declaration of Performance- DoP- are available for those grades)

Dimensions and tolerances of steel plates are specified in EN 10029:2010 ^[5].
